This year's holiday season is way different from usual, and it might be hard for some of your employees. Here are some ways to help your employees manage holiday in the midst of pandemic.

#1 Celebrate the holiday with your team
Some of your employees might live far away from their family, but they have to make a difficult decision to stay put this year. You can plan a virtual holiday gathering with your people to cheer them up, or send cards with handwritten notes to your team.
#2 Share holiday celebration guidance from the CDC
You can't control what your employees do when they are away from work. But sharing the holiday celebration guidance from the CDC in the context of COVID-19 as you speak with them about their plans for the holiday season won't hurt.
#3 Anticipate employees who will be returning from COVID hot spot areas
Some of your employees may travel to or through a high-incident COVID state. Remind them of the policies you have as a business for quarantining after travel and what benefits may apply if they or a family member becomes sick due to COVID.
#4 Support employees who may be feeling down
For some people, holiday season may mean warm fire and sparkling laughter, but for some others this can be a dark time of the year. Remind your employees about the employee assistance program if you provide one. Or, ask how company can support their well-being through a survey.
